New CAFS Truck 5575, Aug. 2017

On April 12, 2017, West Harrison Fire responded to a report of a motor home on fire near the 601 mile marker on Interstate 20. Upon arrival, West Harrison units found a motor home fully involved in fire. West Harrison units had to temporarily shut down westbound traffic on Interstate 20 to ensure fire personnel safety. West Harrison units worked for almost two hours to completely extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported during the call.

West Harrison is proud to announce that our new off road CAFS truck 5575 is finished and in service. 5575 in a 2017 Ford F-450 outfitted with a Rowe skid unit and Feniex LED emergency lighting with 360 degree scene lighting.

On Sunday October 29, West Harrison participated in fall fest at both Woodland Hills Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church. We enjoyed the fellowship and we look forward to attending next year!

On Monday, March 26, 2018, at 3:20am West Harrison responded with assistance  from Hallsville VFD to a report of a residential structure on Hwy 80.  West Harrison units arrived to find a mobile home with heavy fire  showing to the rear of the residence. Upon primary attack it was  determined fire had spread through attic space to other parts of the  residence. All residents were able to make it out of the home safely.
